Ven, Thila Vantha

Yuzana Kyaunghtai monastery, Myitkyina Ven. U Thilavantha, teacher to about 200 learning monks raided
by SPDC army and riot police on September 25 has passed away in Myitkyina Hospital. He died from grave injuries inflicted upon him by soldiers and riot police.
Authorities forced the pathologist to write a death certificate citing the cause of death as heart ailment.
The abbot is a Sri Lanka-educated Buddhist scholar.
